What Is Massage Therapy?
Massage is one of the oldest healing arts. In fact there are references that date back over 3,000 in Chinese literature. Massage therapy has been used by many cultures including the Japanese, Hindus, Persians and Egyptians who applied different forms of massage for many ailments. There even references to Hippocrates who wrote papers recommending the use of rubbing and friction for joint and circulatory problems.
Massage therapy is now accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs, and has also been shown to be helpful in the treatment of many conditions, including:

reducing recovery time for strenuous workouts and eliminating pain.Massage helps to releasing endorphins, the body’s natural painkiller and is ideal for the adjunct treatment for chronic illness or injury, as well as helping patients recover from surgery to control and relieve pain. It also helps to reduce post-surgical adhesions and edema.
