* U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams is advising U.S. employers not to mandate the COVID vaccine, saying a mandate could face pushback.
* Although the Kaiser Family Institute shows 71% of Americans are willing to take the vaccine, there is a large movement among Americans who are questioning the vaccine’s potential side effects.
* Adams explained that the vaccine is available for frontline workers through an emergency use authorization to help stem the pandemic; however, it is still not fully approved. Full licensure is expected in the first half of 2021, he said.
* “Understand that health is good for the economy, masks mean business and vaccinations mean a quicker return to normalcy,” Adams said.
