A Beginner's Guide To Cold Laser Therapy

A Beginner's Guide to Cold Laser Therapy

There are literally millions of people who suffer from muscle pain, joint pain, and nerve related pain. Most would benefit from cold laser therapy. Laser therapy for joint pain has been shown in research to be a very effective treatment. In fact in our office we have many patients who use cold laser therapy for knees to reduce pain, reduce inflammation, limit future degenerative changes and holding-off or avoiding surgery for osteoarthritis.

Cold laser therapy Davie can also be used for general anti-inflammatory applications such as for skin wounds to promote healing, It can used for nerve regeneration such as in diabetic neuropathy as well as chemotherapy induced neuropathy because of the neuro-regenerative effects of laser therapy. In particular the MLS robotic laser is especially effective for neuropathy conditions.

Cold laser therapy for pain, is one of the more common conditions that patients consult with my practice. In particular is the use of laser therapy for low back pain. Low back pain has the distinction of being one of the more condition that people find their way to medical practices, second to upper respiratory tract infections. We use both cold and high (hot) laser for this and many other conditions with great success. In our practice we offer not only MLS robotic laser, but a variety of other laser devices.

Here is a list of some of the more common conditions that laser therapy can be used for:

- Joint pain due to arthritis (including Rheumatoid)
- Muscle pains, tears and sprained joints
- Muscle spasm or guarding
- Neuropathic conditions such as small fiber neuropathy
- Low back pain with or without sciatica
- Neck conditions such as sprains, arthritis and torticollis
- Sports conditions
- Carpal tunnel problems
- Tennis elbow
- Golfers elbow
- Trigger finger
- Runners knee

Less common conditions that we have success with laser therapy include: scar tissue reduction, post surgical applications such as post breast surgery, post hernia surgery, and post caesarian sections. contact our office today for a complimentary consultation.
